Description

This competency-based workshop will prepare the community health-care provider with introductory knowledge and skills to care for children requiring invasive ventilation with a tracheostomy. Participants will have the opportunity to practice skills and participate in simulated home visits of a child requiring this medical technology.

Pre-requisites: completion of Connected Care’s Paediatric Tracheostomy module/webinar is required to register for this workshop. Registered participants are required to complete the pre-learning package prior to attending the workshop in order to fully participate in the learning activities.

Important Information: Restrictions & Guidelines

• Effective September 7, 2021, all individuals coming on site to any SickKids premises are required to be fully immunized. (An individual is fully immunized 14 days after receiving their second dose of a two-dose vaccine series). If you are not fully immunized, Connected Care offers Virtual Education.

• Participants are have the option to wear a mask provided by SickKids

• Participants are asked to self screen for symptoms of COVID-19 prior to attending. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms
